This studio project involved creating a structure for Nuvu to help demonstrate the Nuvu concept to younger children. We took the basic idea of a climbing wall and added a more collaborative element. To achieve this, we designed the wall so that two people can use it simultaneously. Instead of a traditional vertical climbing wall, we created a system where participants use two pegs to hang from and drag through horizontal channels, making the experience both interactive and cooperative.

Gabriel M, Andrew P, Jade V

While many tools like Lego Mindstorm exist to enable kids to create robots and bring their creations to life these tools are still somewhat complex for younger age groups. Link Lab allows young children to use their imagination and discover robotics. It removes all programing from the process, using simple mechanical input to control the electrical components. While most technical skills are simplified, this project will still allow kids to both think in 3d and consider movement in while building.
