Lollipop is a non-profit organization that aims to empower and educate young children from ages 7 to 18. Since its founding by Victoria Wright-Haggins, our goal has been to introduce children to the fascinating field of 3D printing, particularly those from underrepresented communities in STEM.

Clothing History is a garment made using historical techniques with the intention of expressing to other people the way that humanity has developed fabric and clothing making techniques throughout history. The piece could be displayed in an exhibition where it would give the viewer a brief overview of various innovations in textiles technology.

Our project is a wearable dress made from thrifted, recycled, and found materials, inspired by the ecosystems of the ocean to highlight its beauty. Through this creation, we aim to shine light on the pressing issue of environmental waste (particularly fast fashion and plastic pollution) threatening our oceans ecosystems. By merging sustainability with fashion, we seek to raise awareness and inspire tangible action toward ocean conservation.

• 92 MILLION TONS of textile waste is produced each year
• Average US consumer throws away 81.5 Ib of clothing every year
• The fashion industry is responsible for 20% global water waste

• 33 BILLION Ib of plastic enters the ocean every year
• An estimated 75 to 199 MILLION tons of plastic waste currently in the ocean

Next steps:

• Prototype and incorporate motors in both the tentacles and the skirt
• Add more tentacles

• Have a person model the dress

Project Statement

A 9-button macro pad designed for customizable actions, capable of performing any task that can be executed via keystrokes, terminal commands, or application shortcuts. This device is powered by a Raspberry Pi Pico W and programmed using CircuitPython through the Thonny IDE. Its primary purpose is to streamline repetitive or complex tasks, such as remembering multi-button keyboard shortcuts, by automating them into single, easy-to-use buttons.

Throughout my prototype I was focusing on how to keep a nice and small design while also allowing the wiring to be simple. At first I was trying to make small holes to route the wires through but as i moved on i moved towards an open center. Along with small pegs to hold up the protoboard

Thesis

First aid is an important skill. Knowing it helps you recover more quickly from injuries and accidents, and helps you know when to escalate to calling your doctor or 911. Despite how important it is, it's not commonly taught in schools. First Aid Guidebook aims to present common first aid information in an easily and quickly accessible format because safety is for everyone.

• I think I got a decent amount of stuff done
• Most of the feedback I got was really good, though I wasn't able to implement all of it.
• I wish I was actually able to get in contact with a real nurse or EMT, that never really worked out.
• If I was going to continue this I'd just add a lot more pages, I already have ideas for pages on allergies, concussions, and frostbite/heat exhaustion.
