Upper Management is an interactive, horror story staring Tim, A mild-mannered office worker who has an epiphany that he is throwing away his life to something that will amount to nothing. This prompts him to impulsively quit. After quitting Tim goes into the office to collect his stuff, there Tim finds strange happenings.

Tim is given a blank stare.

“I don't feel this line of work is for me”

“Okay”

… He’d expected a bigger response from his department's manager but then again they'd easily be able to find another billing manager.

“So are you giving you two weeks' notice?”

“No, Sir. Just leaving.”

His manager furrows his brows a little

   To be fair it was unprofessional to leave without notice, but Tim’s well aware there's multiple people on the floor with a bachelor's degree and a few years of supervisory experience. Simple Corp would be fine without him.

   The manager grabs a box and places it in Tim’s hands

“Go pack up your office then”

   You can’t really call a 4x4 cubicle an office, but whatever it takes to keep the workers happy.

“I'm running late for something sir, may I take everything home tomorrow”

“As long as it's out by Monday. Place your keycard on my desk as well.”

Tim nods and exits the room, closing the door behind him. He leaves for the night, having made up his mnd he’ll grab everything tomorrow night. Maybe he’ll get some food to celebrate.

Eight Point Structure

Tim goes in to his old office to get his stuff. When he goes in he finds two co-workers and a friend dead

Tim tries to run but finds he is stuck. In a frenzy Tim is put in circumstance after circumstance which put his life at jeopardy

Tim is emailed by John, the demonic spirit of an ex-employee who was killed by the neglect of Upper Management. John then swears to not let Tim leave the the company, even if it means his death

Tim quits his desk job and plans to meet with a friend but they didn't show.

Tim survives the first onslaught of Johns anger. He then has to decide where he wats to hold up for the night. This will determine the rest of his story.

Tim then thinks back to his childhood and reflects on his lost adventurous spirit. This inspires Tim to try and take down John. Tim fails this mission but he still feels proud of his boldness

Tim-weathered and battered from the events of the office, Tim locks himself in his citadel and feels the wave of calm come over him.

Tim finally sees the sun come up on Monday and breaks through the fire exit of the fourth floor and breathes in the clean air, he is free

Tim's body goes cold, his feet turn to concrete. Dave's body was slunched over in his chair. His neck had been punctured with ten staples. Many of the staples had gone all the way through Dave's neck and were holding the front and back of Dave's neck together. The blood had turned Daves mustard shirt to a deep maroon

Not That Time is a narrative game, where a user makes decisions that alter the world in tremendous ways. The main character is a government agent tasked with preventing a said "Harp Goldseal" from creating any shift in the timeline.

You explore 3 different time periods in order to piece together clues to find out the reason for Harps' time traveling.

Hey you, yeah you “Your name”, you are about to enter a world that is near collapse. After 32 years of training, your life will be summed up in one mission. There's not much time to explain, but someone has disrupted the 4.5 billion year timeline of the earth and your goal is to restore it. The target? 2021 Salem, Oregon. Good luck! And may the time be on your side. [[Enter 2681->Enter 2681]]

As alarms blare throughout the rooms, you rush from the main hall to the most confidential room in the entire world. There are large amounts of tension throughout the headquarters. And several people look at you knowing that you now hold the weight of the world on your shoulders. Time travel is a dangerous topic but you know the basics. As you scan your iris and say "Your Name" into the voice recorder, You rub your hands together feeling the hot clamminess in your palms. The first door slides away at what seems to be a snail's pace. "Only 4 more to go," you think to yourself as the slick titanium sheet locks into place and the next one starts to move away. After what seems like an hour, the last door sides up and your path is no longer obscured. In front of you is the lead techman, Jack Harkenbragh. Agent "Your Name" here are your [[field instructions->Field Instructions]].

Usually Jack is on first name terms with you, but you can tell that the urgency is tightening them up. You move with them to the altar listening with full concentration as Jack talks rapidly. "Alright, within the three minutes we've had, the surveillance system tells us the person of conflict is "Harp Goldseal" Who, courtesy of a DNA scan also had been here on the third of November last year where a little over 9 millimeters of time formula was also stolen. The destination: Salem, Oregon 2021. A quick database check tells us that the only, and I mean ONLY known relative ever via DNA is Alina GoldenSeal who died of a "mysterious cause" in 2021." Soaking up that information you are now lowering yourself into the glass case that is known only to the highest of officials as the "time portal" as Jack continues giving you instructions. "We're not completely sure how Harp was able to slip under our radar, especially with 9 millimeters of formula, but we have the location they traveled to. Here is your chip, it will let you take over anyone at any time. This little bad boy also gives access to our highest classified database." Lastly, they hand you a tiny Polycarbonate container containing 12 millimeters of time formula. "This will allow you to make 4 travels in our timeline. That is all I have for you, and to state your mission. If Harp Goldseal manages to make any changes in our timeline, it would destroy the world we currently have and enter us into another universe where we may no longer exist. Your job is to stop any changes Harp makes to the current timeline. Good luck my friend, and may time be on your side." The last sentence comes out through the speaker in a choke, they give you one last stern look through the glass and you return the same teary-eyed stare. "Thanks Jack," you say through the speaker, knowing very well that it might be the last time you mention their name. "May time be yours as well." Almost as quickly as you finish the words, you're [[in 2021->Enter 2021]].

You find yourself next to a deep blue pond which seems to be a perfect circle. You see a young man, probably in his teens skipping rocks on the shore. You see two immediate courses of action: [[Check your chip->Check Chip At Pond]], [[or take over the boys' body.->Entering Jose At Pond]]

Inspiration

All of these images were good inspiration for my story because it helped me develop what the environment around the characters was going to be.

Project statement

This project is about a group of really close friends in the 90s that like to explore abandoned buildings. At the start of the story they decide to explore a recently abandoned hospital. The adventurous teenagers want to reach the top of the hospital to see the view of the nearby city skyline. The story takes a turn when the boys encounter unexpected residents still occupying the facility.

• He does not like heights and is always scared when climbing that he will fall and have to deal with the suffering and pain for a long time.

• He is also quite clumsy and it is funny to his friends

Stasis: Meet all of the characters when they all unite and link together 

Trigger: When in the hospital, it starts to rain and everything gets soggy and noises are heard. people get hurt badly

The quest: their objective is too stay together and find a way out without losing anyone behind

The surprise: they find out that some of the patients are still alive with guts spilling out of gash in their stomach and other nice things

Critical choice: they need to disinfect some of the rusted gashes in time but also need to leave the hospital as soon as possible. but they are in a hospital that has been abandons for a week so there are still disinfectants around the hospital. that does mean that they have to stay and split up.

Climax: they are tested on their ability to navigate through the hospital and to not get caught up or hurt again.

Reversal: When they split up they find some disinfectant but one group gets lost and can't find their way back together. the other group hopes that the opposing group has also found some disinfectant.

Resolution: They find each other and end up getting out in one piece but are always scared for life and now hate every hospital abandoned or not.

My bed felt warm and softer than usual. I turned to the window to find a bright sun, beaming into my face. I just stayed in bed and rested, thinking about new areas to climb and new what I’m going to have for breakfast this morning. I rolled out of bed and almost smashed my head on the nightstand. I wanted to put clothes on but could not decide what to wear and what I wanted to get dirty. I swooped a robe around my waist and slipped on some fluffy slippers. I slipped down the stairs and again almost hit my head on the stairs. Slippers were not a good choice of shoe this morning. I saw that there was no car in the garage and that there was not a soul lingering around the kitchen, banging and dropping pans on the floor. Walking over to the cereal cabinet, I hear a knock on the door. I peer over to the garage and still no car. I peered through the door hole to see my friend standing there with a pan and some tinfoil wrapped around it.

“Hello?” 

“Dude stop being an ass, there is no one there. We are all probably just hearing things.” said Ron. We opened the door and walked through. There was blood everywhere and it led to the other room. The door read “SURGERY” in bold and there was a DO NOT ENTER” sign next to it. “AHHAHAahhhhhhhHH” the yell wobbled the floor below us. We wanted to run but were stuck in place, no movement visible from anyone. We just stood there like dead animals. The door swung open and there was a tall six and half foot man with his stomach open with blood spilling off of the sides and you could see his heart pumping and everything moving around with his eyes completely filled with blood. He yelled “HELP ME” with blood flying everywhere.

We looked around for people and saw two Blacked out Impalas. Then out of nowhere, two men in blue walked up to the cars and got in. They were just sitting in the cars for a long minute and a half, so we decided to move slowly. We had a clear view of the hospital so we made a run for it. There was the sound of opening doors and a man yelling “HEY, GET BACK HERE”.

There was a window with a hole, a perfect fit for everyone. When Jason went in first he tripped on the window sill and got a massive gash through almost all of this forearm. It was bleeding well but was not that deep. After that piece of glass was broken off by Jason, there was no way anyone else could get cut.

When we all crashed at Ron’s place, we got up and remembered what happened yesterday and all agreed that it was a literal movie and that we would try to avoid going to an abandoned hospital again. We all just layed down in bed and looked up at the ceiling for an hour. Stared into nothingness for the rest of the morning.

Clermont: A Murder Mystery is a murder mystery visual novel following a group of teens who are investigating the murder of a woman in their town. The game is made in Ren'py and all the art is created in Photoshop and Procreate.

Maize

Maize is the protagonist and player character of Murder Mystery. She's very smart and resourceful- Maize takes advantage of her environment by observing the people around her carefully.

Maize is accused of the murder, despite having not committed any crimes EVER. She's also an aspiring writer and spends her time working on a book or her poetry.

Opening Sequence

Maize, and Fleur are hauling halloween decor all around the houses in town. They’re almost done- they’ve reached the last house they needed to bring stuff too. The lights are on. When Fleur knocks on the door, she doesn’t get a response. 

FLEUR: The lights are on. Would Ms. Cranburry be asleep?

MAIZE: Maybe.. But it’s 3 pm. No one would sleep right now.. It’s way too late into the day. 

FLEUR: She leaves the back door open sometimes.. Let’s go check on her.

The two make their way into the back of Ms. Cranburry’s home, leaving their decorations at her front door. Maize feels worried about this situation. They open the back door.

FLEUR: Mr Cranburry? Hello? 

They peer into the house. No noise is heard, except for the humming of the heater. They make their way into the kitchen. On the floor of the kitchen, they discover Ms. Cranburry dead. She is covered in maggots and is decomposing.

Saturday the 14th is about a group of friends doing a Halloween movie marathon that suddenly ends when the power goes out. With it being very late, and having nothing else to do, they decide to go to sleep, but no one is able. They then start hearing strange noises, friends disappear, and a hockey mask wearing man appears behind them, setting off a spiral of events.

The ballad of brutality is a text adventure game that utilizes the concept of branching text adventures. The story also incorporates elements of breaking the fourth wall and the simulation theory. The simulation theory is the concept that our world is simulated within a computer.

Ewgene heard a knock at the door expecting Mari her maid. “Come in” the door creaked open and Mari came in with a pile of laundry. Setting it down she moved forwards towards Ewgene.

“Mistress I did the washing, is there mending for me to do?”

“No, but I would love a hot cup of tea right about now.”

“Yes mistress.”

Mari scurried around getting the kettle ready, putting in the tea bags and starting a small fire. Ewgene shaking her head snapped her fingers and a glow surrounded the kettle for a second. It started whistling and Mari looked at her startled, opening her mouth as if to ask a question. “Mari I know you were paying attention when we talked to the good doctor. He did spend quite a while telling me about my Core.”

Name: Byron

Byron's family is made up of 3 siblings, younger sister and brother separated by 3 and a half years. His friends are all sophomores like himself and are always energetic and ready to do anything at any time. His closest friends are the ones who do most of his climbing activities with him and are a group of 4 people. 

His biggest fear is when climbing a building to fall off and have to suffer with the pain of his falling. He has told this mostly only to his close friend group because he is always climbing around with them.

Byron’s most treasured possession is an old bullet that he found while climbing an abandoned military base from WWII.

When he thinks of his childhood kitchen he normally thinks of the smell of the homemade mac and cheese that his mother used to make for him when he was little. He used to have it almost every Friday and that was the sign for school ending for a few days and him being able to goof around the house and go play at the park with his friends. 

The setting is set in an abandoned hospital that was abandoned mid day due to the passing of some high radiation levels in the building. 

The geography there is all weeds, tall trees, and the city in the distance if you are at the top of the hospital. There is a small dirt road that leads to the hospital about an hour from the city.

If you look down you would see bottles of hospital juice spilled and broken on the floor. You would also see paper files all over the floor

The threats are the juices on the floor, the slight radiation lingering around the air along with the people.

He does not like how everything is flown open and also the radiation in the air along with the groaning noises coming from some of the rooms...

You can smell lots of hand sanitizer and the smell of cheap soap.

It is the end of spring and the uprising of fall
