"The sound of plates being laid out on a table. Spoons clattering against a big pot. A teakettle whistling. Cats meowing. Always, cats. Chickens! Roosters! children playing outdoors and laughing! Clinking of cups! (little coffee cups and tiny glass tea cups)"

Working with SWANA and local activists to create a deployable installation
It is undeniable the stress that this Pandemic has had on the world, restaurants are no exception. One in six US restaurants or roughly 17% of them has shut their doors to patrons permanently since the start of the Covid 19 Pandemic. Restaurants have had to make major adjustments in the wake of the Pandemic. The main priority is to keep the virus out of the food environment. Several key measures have been required including upgrading of cleaning and sanitation measures, disinfecting surfaces and high-touch points, educating staff on the virus and how to protect themselves and others, reinforcing protocols such as well as physical distancing, and many more depending on the nature of the restaurant. For many, this was a challenge to start up, and for some, it was nearly impossible with more and more people quarantining and not dining in or getting take out. This documentary film shows those in the restaurant and hospitality industry whose lives have not been revealed during this Pandemic. The intention of this film is to bring a perspective into their struggles and their stories into the public eye.
