Rent:

The show takes place in the 90s following 8 friends in the middle of the Aids crisis

The set has cool scaffolding and tables that can be used for different things.

The scaffolding allows actors to do the same scene in different places

You can't really modernize this because the subject really needs to take place during the aids crisis.

The play I chose was "The Outsiders" I find this play very intersting because I read the book and watched the movie and I loved both of them. I had trouble finding the play style, but based on some of the pictures I can assume it was a proscenium set. It takes place in the 60's and it really shows based on what people are wearing, and they way they present themselves.
