Our Differences is a film designed to show incoming NuVu students how to compromise and resolve problems with their partner. Our Differences was made because NuVu is all about collaboration, so being able to compromise is a key skill to have. Seeing as though it was found that being able to compromise at NuVu is extremely important. 

The videos will allow incoming NuVu students to have access to videos that will help them before they even step foot in NuVu. In the film, the main characters have superpowers. The first main character (Brad) has hypnosis, so he is able to force people to do whatever he wants. The second main character (Meg) is immune to Brad’s powers, therefore Brad has to learn to compromise.

NuVu emphasizes the value of compromise, making it an essential skill for its students. Ever felt compelled to help an animal or the environment while also getting something out of it? If so, GOOD.ie HOODIE is perfect for you. GOOD.ie HOODIE is a brand that makes and sells hoodies, T-shirts, stickers and even a bag and for all purchases made, money is donated towards charities that support the wildlife. We made over 30 design concepts for our products before narrowing it down to 3 that were put on our hoodies and T-shirts. All the profits made from our eco-friendly brand are then donated to the charities Oceana and the International Rhino Foundation. GOOD.ie HOODIE also has a website where we sell our products and give more information about our brand and the charities we support and why. GOOD.ie HOODIE also has an instagram page where updates are posted about our brand and is a place where we can reach an even wider audience. We got the Idea for this brand from the main goal of supporting the charities of our choice and creating products that relate to the underlying themes and goals of those charities. We hope that GOOD.ie HOODIE becomes a recognizable brand that a wide variety of people choose to buy from and support not only to help the animals and their environment but also build a community.

Thesis Statement

Positive Insight is designed to help people with accepting who they are, and cut out negative and counterproductive thoughts such as “I am not good enough” or “I am not important”. With this installation, we hope to create an engaging experience that encourages viewers to accept and feel better about themselves. The intended audience for this art piece is the students and staff of the Nuvu School of Design. Grounded in the concept of self-reflection, our installation invites individuals to embrace alternative perspectives and gain a deeper understanding of themselves.

The breakdown by grade is 1% 7th grade, 10% 8th grade, 11% 9th grade, 49% 10th grade, 17% 11th grade, and 12% 12th grade. We found that the majority of the student body’s current living situation consists of the Middle class and Upper class. For the film, we want the audience to be NuVu because the film will be specifically tailored towards the NuVu community. The people we will probably need to talk to include various NuVu students and coaches, because they will be the actors in our movie, and the movie will be for them. Another person we want to talk to is a movie producer to get tips from. Some questions we could ask the students and coaches would be “Would you like to help us make a movie?” and “What would you say your superpower is?” Some questions that we would have for a producer could be “how do we incorporate b-roll into the movie?” and also “how do you add suspense to the movie?” These questions could help us make the best film possible.
