I don't have any money, but I guess we could just walk around. Walking around, of course, is the only thing we can do.
It was a hot day, and we wanted to get ice cream and "just hang out". Our brief stint in Central really only lasted as long as the shopping took, which, frankly, is the only purpose we are given the chance to fulfill, and the only purpose that truly matters. We headed home after the ice cream, stopping to rest on a black bench, scalding hot from the sun, every mile or so.
"Wanna get lunch and look for somewhere to sit in the sun?"
"Of course! I'm always down for lunch in Central. How about brunch?"
"Sounds good to me."
We had a walk under the light. We found a perfect spot by a storefront in Central.
"Nice weather we have today. Perfect for eggs." They stated.
We brought four raw eggs to make brunch sandwiches. I cracked them one-handed against a brick wall, with a slice of bread held beneath. The egg cracked. That signature sizzling sound could be heard as the innards dropped, petrifying in the glare of the sun.
I just need something to do with the kids. Thankfully, the Lafayette Square Art Zone™ is here to save the day! Thank you, creators of the Lafayette Square Art Zone™!
"Hey-- wanna meet in 'the square' and have coffee?"
"D.A.R.E. taught me what to do in this situation... Say no to drugs!" I objected.
Then, with my newfound charisma, I strolled into the Lafayette Square Art Circle™ and drew the best chalk drawing ever, resulting in me winning every single prize for every single art competition. Yes, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes, because everyone else was too intimidated by my art skill and charisma to enter.
