The Breakthrough Junior Challenge is a scholarship competition based on Science Communication. Each year, students from around the year submit a 3-minute video in either Math, Physics or Life Sciences. This year an additional twist was added: the time limit for these videos dropped from 3 minutes to 1:30 minutes

Project Statement

The Wonderful World of Plants is a science communication video made for entry to the Breakthrough Junior Challenge. The topic chosen for this video is Plant Circadian Rhythm which falls under the Biology sub-category. The aim of this project is to explain the concept of Plant Circadian Rhythm in a fun & humor-filled manner while still getting all of the scientific information across.

This is a mixed-media film project which will draw workflows from video footage & illustration/animation through Adobe After Effects & Illustrator. Editing for this project will be done through Premiere Pro & Audacity.
