Project Statement
Our goal was to make a game about things such as hostile architecture, oppression, and capitalism that still kept a lighthearted/satirical tone. We also wanted to try making an asymmetrical game. In the end, we noticed that the two sides almost felt like different games on the same board, which definitely supports the theme.

Game Testing
1) The game was far too complicated to be practical when we started.
2) The rules were a bit hard to understand but even harder to simplify.
3) It turns out planning time effectively is useless when you're suddenly incapable of accessing important files.
4) There weren't any currency tokens or turn counters when we finished our first prototype, and that caused a lot of confusion.
5) For once, Verity didn't type the rules in comic sans.

Game Elements & Rules
Money is the most important resource in the game, or possibly second most important after time. The money is in units of 10 and units of 25 quintillion because life is fair. It can be spent on anything else either side may need.
There are three types of terrain: Rural, Suburb, and Dense City. The Dense Cities take 2 turns for the Conquerors to traverse, and the suburbs can be upgraded to Dense Cities by Gov Corp.

The Conquerors
This small green cube is gonna rule Gov City! Or maybe just demand money. Who knows? This piece represents the person playing the conquerors, and its position on the board is fundamental.
Walls
Walls are important for Gov Corp. Conquerors can't pass through walls, so they limit one player's motion severely. Only restriction is that Gov Corp isn't allowed to fully enclose any tile or tiles besides the main Gov Corp building.
The Shops
The shops sell items that any good conqueror needs. Also the same shopkeeper, Michael, runs both shops. Don't ask how.
Final Photos
we conclude this presentation with a normal photo
War over Wealthworld is a game that criticizes oppressive governments, hostile architecture, corruption, and our current economic system. Our goal was to create a game that seems like a lighthearted board game that allows you to get lost in the game and realize mid-way through that the themes in the game can be connected to the current, real-life situation. The purpose of the project is to get people to realize just how intentionally hostile the world is built to be- the government currency is in the quintillions, the money is used for the sole purpose of making the lives of the people living in their city as hard as possible, and it only loops back around into more money.
