Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh is among a growing body of libraries creating "Seed and Plant" catalogs. Just like you go to the library to check out a book, you can "check out" a packet of seeds or a small fruit or vegetable plant. However, you are not expected to return your plant or seeds, rather they encourage you to bring more seeds back the following spring for other library patrons.
