Today's world is very fast-paced, and we are always getting constant information. Craft Crochet & Discuss, is a series of workshops that provides Nuvu students with a 3rd space. The goal is to give students a place to slow down and crochet as we discuss important and impactful topics going on in the world. We want to make the space relaxing and invite communication and collaboration. What we have created is a proof of concept, consisting of a T-shirt and jean jacket. On the T-shirt, you can see a decal and it's made up of symbols and drawings made by a few Nuvu students, The idea is to have something made by the community to then wear. With the jacket, the idea is for the students to learn how to make different stitches and patches that they can then add to or create different pieces of clothing.
