ADA compliant dress is a statement piece designed to make able people experience the constant worry of being unable to access environments as a disabled person. We researched environments that don’t accommodate and how people have been protesting and making statements about these environments. The 3 main features to the dress, which make it impossible to maneuver if conditions are not met, are the width of doorways, the height of railings, and the angle of ramps. When the dress goes through a non ADA compliant doorway, the dress is stopped and causes a scene, forcing the people around to think about accessibility and their own environments.
