The project “Block Party Platter” is created to carry you food  at a gathering of friends in a hands-free way. Attached to your waist, you no longer have to worry about losing your food to gravity.

A family BBQ is a place where people enjoy food, company, and the outdoors. Aside from the once removed uncle who won't stop talking about political views, the only thing that could ruin a wonderful experience is a spillage of a greasy piece of burger and sugary soda drink alike, all over a nice piece of clothing. This is where "Block Party Platter" can be a lifesaver.

The “Block Party Platter” is a  simple belt attachment composed of a series of ceramic pieces that enable a user to chat, eat, and complete other activities without one hand being occupied by a paper plate. Not only does it make the grilling and eating experience less clumsy, stress free and intuitive, the consumer gets to show off their unique, aesthetic, party hack! Each ceramic piece is removable, allowing an  easy clean after dinner. The user’s hands, both free, can accomplish at least twice the amount of tasks!
