1. What is the cost NuVu’s Summer 2015 Residential Program? Are there other academic fees?

If you are a non-Chinese international student and would like to receive details about the cost for our Summer 2015 Residential Program, please email summer2015@nuvustudio.org and include “NuVu Summer 2015 Residential Program for non-Chinese International Students” in the title.

If you are a Chinese international student and would like to receive details about the cost for our Summer 2015 Residential Program, please email justine@nuvustudio.org and include “NuVu Summer 2015 Residential Program for Chinese International Students” in the title.

2. How do I apply?

We begin accepting applications December 1, 2014.

If you are a non-Chinese international student and would like to request an application, please email us at summer2015@nuvustudio.org and we will send along the application. Once completed, students can send the application with all supporting documentation to summer2015@nuvustudio.org.

If you are a Chinese international student and would like to request an application, please email us at justine@nuvustudio.org and we will send along the application. Once completed, students can send the application with all supporting documentation to justine@nuvustudio.org.

3. Who is eligible to apply?

Current 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th grade international students, plus graduating high school seniors who are not planning to attend a U.S. university in Fall 2015.

4. If I require assistance with the application, who should I contact?

You can email summer2015@nuvustudio.org or you can call 617-945-7716, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST.

5. Is financial aid available?

There is no financial aid available for the Summer 2015 Residential Program for international students.

6. When can I expect to hear about my admission status?

Admissions decisions will be made on a “rolling” basis. Our team will review the application and respond to your request with the admission decision within three (3) weeks of the receipt of submitting a complete application.

7. How many studios can I take?

You may enroll in one studio per Session and enroll in one to three Sessions. Regardless of your acceptance into NuVu’s Summer 2015 Residential Program, students are welcome to enroll in the NuVu Summer 2015 Day Program studios on a first-come, first-serve basis.

8. Where will the Summer 2015 Program be taking place?

NuVu’s Summer 2015 Program will be taking place at our home studio located at 450 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02139.

9. Where will I live?

You will be placed in the long-term stay Residential Inn Cambridge which is located within a 10 minute walking distance from our studio in Cambridge, MA.  You will be living with other high school students and will be supervised by trained residential staff at all times.

10. Will attending NuVu’s Summer 2015 Residential Program increase my chances of being admitted to MIT and other universities?

Participating in NuVu and mentioning that you did so on your college application is likely to be viewed by admissions counselors as one indicator of academic seriousness and hands-on learning. However, it is just one indicator among many factors that are assessed in a comprehensive application review and does not guarantee an offer of admission.
