Every year, around 8 million tons of plastic waste go into the ocean.

By creating a soft robot, safe around wildlife, and capable of traveling in places dangerous to humans, we could clean the ocean more efficiently.

Precedents: What inspired me?

A jelly fish is a perfect model because the bot would move efficiently and repel wildlife due to its shape.

From the very beginning, I knew I wanted to mimic marine life. My main inspiration is the jellyfish.

Prototype Progression

My first idea was to make a fish-like bot.

Finally, I made some modifications and added pneumatics.
