writing

Our studio was about interactive fiction. More specifically it was about writing horror. We got 3 weeks to write, revise, and code our own game. The first week was a lot of learning how to use the programs we were going to use. The second week we started writing and brainstorming ideas for our games. We got a lot of peer feedback and got a solid idea for our story. On the final week we found out we could have partners, I partnered with Andre and Charlie. We merged our stories into one and starting building. We made a flow diagram for our story and then started the twine. Once we finished our game we play tested it and made sure there were no loose ends.

In this studio I learned many new things. Some of the more important were about coding. I learned how to use Tracery and Twine which are both Java Script. I think learning these two programs could benefit me by giving me the ability to know how to compute basic Java Script functions. These are helpful because a lot of jobs require coding experience and having a fundamental base could get me started in the right direction.
