Wyatt:

School has always been a tough topic for me. I've experienced 7 educational environments in my life, and it took a long time for me to find one that I feel comfortable with. I decided to leave most of those schools because I wasn't learning and wasn't enjoying them. As an example, in 5th grade, I was forced to take Spanish and everyone else had been learning it for a year. Whenever I got a question wrong, I felt horrible for being punished because I wasn't taught something. I'm motivated by my past and how the major flaws in my education affected my life.

Charlie: I have always been somewhat behind my other classmates due to me being neurodivergent, even with extra time in class for doing work, I still was falling behind. During covid, I tried homeschooling, and I learned far more than I ever had at school. last year I began to realize the flaws of the school system and how things were being taught, I eventually decided to leave public school and go to Nuvu instead.

We are trying to reach students who were harmed by the infectivity of the average teaching methods as well as those who haven't so we can help inform them on the problem. We believe that, right now, students will not be prepared for their lives outside of school. There needs to be change, and it needs to happen soon.

Our community is students all over America who have been hurt by an outdated system, mainly our fellow classmates from NuVu. We want to reach out to them by making this video essay/documentary to help them understand that they are not alone in this outdated and undeveloped system.

Our only ask is after watching the video, to take out your phone, send to others who may be a part of the school system, and ask them to consider change, and to be more flexible in their classrooms/schools.
