Bio-Installation
Finn + Beckett + Kody
Our project aims to bring livelihood and activity to Inman Square by introducing nature inspired public art interventions. We currently have three different concepts that each aim to achieve this goal in various ways. We also are exploring various ways to bring nature into our space, using bio-mimicry, bio-sculpture, and bio-design.
Community Garden Boxes
These mobile boxes that encourage residents of Inman to participate in growing flowers.
H.S.P is a collapsible and portable shade provider designed to make Inman square a comfortable and welcoming place in the warmer months. In addition to creating gathering spaces H.SP's canopy is engraved with stories of places and people that make up Inman square.

Safer Bike paths
We've noticed a lack of seperation between the bike path and the sidewalk in Inman square, as well as a lot of bike racks. While we're not able to change the bike lane itself, we could find a way to use art or design to seperate pedestrians and brighten the square up
Questions To Explore
- Decide what to go forward with
- Continue with iteration + prototypes
- Figure out a reasonable scope for the project
Next Steps
- Do we want to focus on one of these ideas specifically or should we combine them?
- How involved should the community be in our final design?
