Into Da Forest

Into De-Forest is an adventure-style game in which the main character explores the amazon rainforest in search of a mystical treasure. The character travels into and through the forest, in order to uncover a hidden city and a cave in which the treasure lies. This game was created with Unity, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator to create vector-styled artwork in the backgrounds and assets of each level. Into De-Forest is a semi-realistic take on the effects of deforestation today. The main character must clear trees en route to the treasure, emphasizing how people today take away massive amounts of forest just for personal gain. As more trees are taken away, oxygen levels within the forest deplete, making it harder for the character to stay alive. The only way to combat this is to replant the trees to replenish the oxygen level. The explorer must venture out into the forest and uncover the mystical treasure, as well as keep the environment in mind.F

- agricultural expansion

- Wood extraction

- infrastructure expansion

-Road and Urbanization

-conversion to cropland(taking the trees and cutting them down to turn it into land that can be used as farmland.)

most of these causes work together and are not the sole contributor to the issue.

- Wildfire risk depends on a number of factors, including temperature, soil moisture, and the presence of trees, shrubs, and other potential fuel.

- climate change impacts because it affects the dry areas of organic matter.(which helps to fuel the wild fire).

- Higher temperature affects the ability of a fire the most.

Extra information about the water cycle.

Alex Gough-Schnapp

Forests help control the water cycle by regulating precipitation, evaporation and flows. Layers of forest canopy, branches and roots can store and release water vapor, which controls rainfall. ... Deforestation weakens this process, leading to irregular rainfall patterns including drought and flooding.

cool idea. If this is a go ahead I will have to go in and clean the image up and create the frame for each animation
