Motus: Express your Emotions
by: Abby and Ellery
THESIS
Often times young kids have trouble expressing their emotions in a clear and simple way, which can be harmful to their overall emotional growth. Motus is here to help. Motus is a maker crate that is designed for ages 2-4. It combines play with emotional expression and creativity by allowing children to create their own unique figures by switching out colors and shapes. Motus also comes with four-story cards that parents can use as prompts to start a conversation with their children about expressing emotions, which will help children represent and communicate their emotions effectively.
Type of Play
The type of play is solitary or parallel play.
Skills learned

I learned a lot of new skills. One of the coolest things I learned was learning about the design and prototype process. Rhino was also cool to learn about! - Abby
I enjoyed creating the designs for some of the pieces in our project. I remember when I saw our first prototype and realized that Motus was coming together. - Ellery
I learned so much about the design
process. I found out how to prototype and sketch with Rhino. - Ellery
