Cedrix is an animated world that explores a possible near future world. After a great oil shortage, scientists around the world work to create geothermal mining industries in the deep sea to supplement the energy shortages. One day while searching for a new location for geothermal mining, a submarine breaks through into an unexplored part of the ocean that holds a unique intelligent life form, Cedrix. Scientists are left with the decision on whether or not to reveal this creature to the rest of the world, or to learn from previous mistakes and protect Cedrix, and their habitat from exploitation.Cedrix illustrates the damages that human industries such as mining have had on the natural environment, and the ways greed has been used to exploit the Earth. As humans look to the future, it is imperative to consider the burden of their needs on society, and how to limit their impact on the rest of the world. Cedrix can be enjoyed by all audiences, but specifically targets the younger audience, who will not only be drawn to the animation and narrative style, but will also be most likely to be influenced by this film to shape their future decisions.

Deconstructed earth depicts what our planet in the far future could look like.  Humanity has decided to make a dyson sphere, but the only place with enough resources to make it is earth. So the Earth is in the process of being completely mined. 


Using Blender to make and most of the assets, and using Quixel bridge to get the rocks and landscape textures they can be brought into Unreal Engine.  Where this scarred version of the planet can be made, and make it possible to see what it could look like if and event of this scale were to happen.

Collapsed Circuts is a commentary the modern trend of technology products being designed to be replaced instead of fixed.

Collapsed Circuts is a story set in a world facing major socital collapse. The supply chains that produce our advanced technology have crumbled, and modern disposable technology products quickly break, and unable to be repaired or replaced, are lost forever.

Zoe: 

High Tide is a short animated trailer that follows two characters who are struggling living on their small, flooded island  and have to go to find new land to bring their families to. These characters exist in drastically different social classes, and have to deal with that along with the loss of their land. 

The world's environments were made using Blender, Unreal Engine, and some free assets found online. The characters were animated using iPads and Apple pencils, and were frame by frame. This trailer was created to show others about how the world might change when the tides do. There are a few main shots in the trailer- the market scene, the traveling scene, and the water scene. The market scene takes place at the beginning of the trailer, while the first character is helping his mother at their family stall. His friend approaches him and they go traveling. During these scenes, the sun is fully set and starts to rise, along with the water. When the characters find this new island, they climb up it and go to sleep. While they are asleep, the water rises and one of them falls in and is unable to swim. The trailer ends here- viewers are left wondering who was drowning, and what was happening. 


Anara's Brief:

High Tide is a short trailer that takes place in a future where the moon has moved closer to Earth, causing the tides to be more extreme. The high tides force humanity to move to the highest peaks of mountains to stay safe. The film tells a story about two adventurous kids who want to help find new land for the overcrowded population, and touches on issues like class, overpopulation and economic status.  shows how the event impacts the earth and society.

The trailer follows two friends on their mission to find new land. One is of lower class and has experienced the devastation and destruction the tides cause firsthand. While the other lives at the top of the mountain away from the water, oblivious to the hardships of the lower class. The sets are built with Unreal engine and Blender and use free assets from quixel bridge. Scenes from the sets are brought into DaVinci to be edited, and Procreate animations are overlain.

Human-Robot is a short film that explores what it means to be human and asks the question can a robot be human. this takes place in a future dystopia, where a robot who is not accepted into society finds humanity within himself and struggles with who he is. The project allows users to identify with the robot and its struggles with being accepted.

The film which is only a few minutes long can be separated into three scenes being the apartment, residential, and market. The apartment shows the robot's home as well as his poverty. There are human relics scattered throughout to show how his love for humanity turned into an obsession. The residential scene shows how the robot is left out and unwanted and most importantly how he is different. Finally, the market shows the robot experiences things like taste and joy that ultimately define him as human. Human Robot was made using Maya, Blender, Unreal Engine, and Substance Painter. Maya and Blender were used for modeling, Substance Painter for texturing, and Unreal Engine for creating the environments. Human-Robot is questioning how humans differ from technology and how humans interact with it.


         Human Robot is a short trailer about a Robot who wants to experience what being a human. Set in a 3D dystopian world where the robot is making himself human and living in a simulation. He goes to a market to see humans eating apples and other fruit. He wants to try an apple so he does. We designed this to show how technology may learn from human actions. He also sees humans driving space cars around and he realizes that he is quite unfortunate and does not have many of the human privilege's that they have. He also notices that he is in a simulation where all of the towns are rundown and broken but when he puts his filter to change it, the towns become lively and new.

This world is set on a terra-formed moon of Jupiter with a dome encasing it. The name Xengari is inspired by the greek word for moon, fengari. This world is designed as a fabricated paradise for the wealthiest people in the universe and it's mostly centered around tourism and technology. The surface is made up of mostly city and beaches, there are however jungles and mountains for people who want to enjoy nature but its main attractions are massive floating casinos and perfect beaches. It is a hub for inter-planetary cruises and a secondary economic industry is hydrogen fuel cells since hydrogen is so abundant on Jupiter but massive photosynthesis factories and oxygen recycling plants exist to be sure there is enough oxygen for both the planet's inhabitants and the fuel cells. The structures are made from metal and glass material and made with crazy architecture since the elements are controlled and the gravity is reduced. The working class on Xengari is mostly robots and automated jobs however humans oversee them to prevent an AI takeover. The culture of Xengari is very materialistic since it is a world for the elites but this results in a very lively economy and the working class is well compensated since any non-human essential jobs are automated. Food is made in factories by making an ideal nutrient base for each food group and then chemicals that can simulate different tastes so all food is healthy and good for you. However, since most essential resources on Xengari are imported there are laws in place that make sure the population doesn't increase over time. The temperature inside the dome is between 50 to 80 degrees in different places and radiates out from the dome. All computing on the planet is done by cloud quantum computers which are on the outside of the dome to cool them to almost absolute 0 so that the superpositions are very reliable and effective. this outside factory and computing shell is half of the outside and rotates over the clear inner shell on the side that is night
