OPTION 1

Our office architecture was designed to create a safe and open covid space as well integrating plants and greenery. Our office has partitioned desks, office spaces, large conference rooms and an eating space on the second floor. Along with these many covid-19  safe facilities the building also has plant walls, plants in offices, and a half solar panel roof. This creates an environment where even if you can't leave the office makes it feel like you are already in nature and outside.

Natures Playground

Natures Playground is a intergenerational park that has aspects of surreal design. This is shown by the monumental size of the installations in the park. Our hope is that people of all ages will be able to interact with our playscape together through the art of surrealism. We accomplished this by enlarging the size of objects in nature, the reason behind these structures is to allow for children to assess risk safely.

And

The Monolith is designed as a way for people to de-stress and be swept away into a whole new musical experience. It has a mysterious feel to it, sort of calling you in through its strange alien shape and reactive illumination. The ideal audience would be college students, during their busy, stressful days. Monolith would evoke curiosity, then engage. When approached, the LEDs would turn on, revealing the control panel and the Monolith would begin to emit a low hum. As the observer touches the control panel they would feel the vibrations and would try to find out how they could manipulate them.

Resolution Recipes :final

Madi Fortune and Jere Nierenberg

For our open innovation project, we took inspiration from the "Conflict Cookbook" studio. With this project, we aim to inform people about different conflicts, and their resolutions through cooking, adding symbolism to the fusion dishes we created. We chose to focus on two conflicts, the Ottoman Empire vs. the Habsburgs/Spain, and France vs. Vietnam.

For the open innovation project, the creators took inspiration from the "Conflict Cookbook" studio. With this project, they aim to inform people about different conflicts, and their resolutions through cooking, adding symbolism to the fusion dishes they created. They chose to focus on two conflicts, the Ottoman Empire vs. the Habsburgs/Spain, and France vs. Vietnam.

This project aims to start a conversation about both cooking and conflicts. It also encourages friendly interactions through food.

One of the recipes is Coffee Chocolate mousse, which combines Vietnam's large export of coffee with a classics French Mousse. By combining two it can be shown how though Vietnam was colonized, it managed to push its way through and make it their own history.

Jeremy Nierenberg

For the open innovation project, the designers took inspiration from the "Conflict Cookbook" studio, a studio about mitigating international tension by creating fusion recipes. With this project, the creators aimed to inform people about 2 different conflicts, and their resolutions. As implied, this was done through cooking, adding symbolism to the fusion dishes created. the creators chose to focus on two conflicts that played a large role in history but are seldom talked about.  The first conflict is the Ottoman Habsburg wars, and the second is the French Vietnam war(also called the first Indochina war).
