The Rich And The Rest
Ari Sinert and Jacob Greene
Thesis
The Rich and the Rest is a stop-motion film exploring the cause and effect of the wealth gap and the opportunities afforded to the upper class. Sixty eight percent of the total wealth of US citizens lies in the hands of the top ten percent. This film brings awareness to systemic issues permeating through the upper echelons of our society. Including an inability to rise up from the bottom betraying the fundamental principles of the “American Dream” and a centuries old system designed to keep the poor poor while the rich get richer.
