Research Summary
Elbaite is a gemstone and is the most colorful member of the tourmaline group. Tourmaline is created with a hypothermal process where rain water fills the cracks in the magma which then cools and hardens into rock. The tourmaline and other similar gems are then found in large veins. Toumaline can also be formed with the metamorphic process which is a process of changing already existing rocks and changes their forms by temperature and pressure.
