Cotton Mask
Effectiveness
Session 1 | Winter 2021

Research Summary
This Houdini simulation is a study of the effectiveness of cloth face masks against the spread of COVID spittle droplets. This simulation contains the variables layer count, thread count, thickness, and droplet size. Using a small set of equations, a system can be setup in parallel with this simulator, allowing us to calculate the optimal fabric grade for effective defense against covid, while keeping the cost per mask low.
