Thesis Slide

The main issue that im addressing with my city and vehicle is above ground traffic. I created a compact vehicle that was as narrow as possible with motors and a controller. I did this so more vehicles could fit on the road with the same amount of space. I also created an underground road system to remove aboveground traffic and create more peaceful roads

Inspiration

This is my utopian city designed to improve transportation by removing aboveground traffic. It has several tunnels leading to an underground road system that would mirror the roads above, making them wider so more cars can travel at once. The idea is that long distance traveling would happen below ground so the roads above would be more peaceful and less busy

City Design

Original Idea

The Hoverbike is a futuristic looking hovering bike that floats through the air and acts like a compact flying vehicle

Normal people can buy this vehicle in my utopian city but the idea is that only the wealthier people in the city can use them to prevent air traffic

It can hover, fly, and park on the ground

First Prototype

• This is my original prototype for my flying bike
• The prototype doesn't include motors but i was planning on adding propellors in a formation like a drone
• I realised that I didn't have motors powerful enough to lift a battery pack and motor controller so I moved on to another idea

Vehicle in the Early Stages

• All the components of the vehicle are in the bottom of the vehicle
• There is a wooden cage around the vehicle to give it a structure
• The vehicle is rear-wheel drive

• The power for the vehicle is sandwiched in the middle with no wasted space to keep the vehicle compact

• There are 3 points of contact with the ground evenly spaced to keep the vehicle level
