The Soothing Fireplace is a desktop item that is meant to calm you and summon nice memories of fireplaces. The project uses Arduino to create a realistic flickering effect. The fireplace is made of wood, and bricks have been etched on it using the laser cutter. The sections of wood are held together by wood glue.

During this studio I learned all about Arduino and laser cutting. I expanded my knowledge tenfold, and learned about motors and electronics of all kinds. I got better at goal setting, as well as coding. I learned a whole new 3d software, Rhino, and used it to etch a brick pattern onto cardboard and wood. I learned a ton of things this studio, and I hope that continues.
