This is an essay covering Marylin Edwin Link. Marylin, despite being the head of many institutions and pioneer of early aviation, is not very well known. She is a fascinating woman, who affected many aspects of early aeronautics and oceanic research, and doesn’t appear in traditional history. Marylin was the first American woman to earn a commercial pilot's license, and was even asked to be the first woman in space. She was the sister of Edwin Albert Link Jr., a significantly more publicly influential person, responsible for major developments in aviation, flight simulation, and undersea exploration.
