Over the course of this studio, I was able to practice a few essential skills-- writing, giving feedback, and documenting-- and learn some new ones, such as building a resume or sending a college application. This studio provided the grounds for me to gain skills I can see easily being used in the future, especially as I look and apply for jobs and go to college. On top of this, I was able to spend some time painting and printmaking-- skills I already had but that I was able to really develop during portfolio work time, and hone some techniques I had begun to improve upon. It is a bit hard to envision what I could improve upon next studio, as a lot of the skills and concepts learned here do not translate well to other projects-- but I think I will continue to create resumes and market myself, this time towards businesses and potential clients. Despite going down the "Collegebound" path, what I understand about the "Explorer" path shows that I will need both skillsets in the next few years.
