Since this was the first studio of the year, one of my main goals was to get back into rhythm. That is partially why I started off the first week with engage & persist as a habit of mind. For the most part, I did successfully start my school year off how I wanted to. The college essay was I think the spotlight of my work as I started the studio without a clue of what my essay would look like and ended the studio with basically a final version. One thing I found cool was the fact that while I was building my website, I learned how to use Photoshop. I think that even though that took almost a whole day, it will better prepare me for the future. Stuff like that, where I'm doing one thing, and find it helpful to learn another skill to complete it, is super important in my opinion to the design process. I want to make sure I'm doing more of that as the year progresses. Another tool I want to utilize more is the phone booths. Twice this studio I recognized that the previous day was unproductive in the lightbox, I was unproductive and not getting stuff done like I wanted to. So, I isolated myself in one of the phone booths for a block. In the future, I want to add to my resume as I plan to look at internships next summer, and I want to finish my portfolio.
