Snapshots of the Supreme Court

By Amedeo Bettauer and Verity Gould

Snapshots of the Supreme Court is a short film series about notable Supreme Court cases that aims to present them in a non-partisan and entertaining way, utilizing the elements of clay character design, set design, and film. Each film contains a narrative of the case and what the main takeaway was, as well as a “contemporary tidbit” to provide modern relevance and understanding. The project takes the middle ground between history and entertainment, providing a resource that is both funny and enjoyable, as well as accurate and informative. Snapshots of the Supreme Court was created to fill a current gap in legal resources. Right now, most sources about the decisions of the Supreme Court are either overly partisan and inaccurate, or are very boring and unengaging for a general audience. This project fills that gap by making films that any audience can find value in.
