New Staff Introduction
We hope everyone is having a great end to their summer. We are excited for the upcoming year and to share some information for the fall. We would like to introduce three of our newest staff members, Juliette Noone, Sammy Sass, and Paula Garza Gonzalez. They are all very excited to meet everyone and have provided a brief introduction of themselves for all of you.
Juliette Noone (Communications and Events Manager) will be joining NuVu as the new Communications and Events Manager. She is a UMass Amherst alum with a degree in English and Psychology. Before arriving in Boston, she lived in Philadelphia working as an immigration paralegal and moved to Somerville in June. She enjoys going on hikes, playing with her dog, and is currently training for the Philadelphia Marathon. Juliette is excited about being in such a creative learning environment and cannot wait to be fully immersed in the day-to-day of NuVu.
Paula Garza Gonzalez (Architecture & Design Coach) will be joining NuVu as the new Architecture and Design Coach. She is excited to become part of NuVu's community and learn from both the team and students. Paula is from a small town in Mexico called Tampico, and came to the US five years ago to study Architecture at Stanford with a minor in Education. She is now finishing her Master's in Education at Harvard. Her goal is to be a learning space designer, and she is excited that this position is guiding her closer to achieving that. She is eager to begin this journey alongside NuVu's community of innovators!
Sammy Sass (Director of Student Support) joins NuVu this year in our new position, Director of Student Support. She is an educator and psychotherapist with a background in arts and social justice education, non-profit leadership, and therapy with families and kids. She loves getting outside, hiking and exploring, and making ceramics in her home studio. Sammy sees hands-on creativity as the best way to learn and grow, and she's excited to work with NuVu students, staff, and families.
