At the beginning of every day at NuVu, coaches have to remember to collect attendance. This daily task may be simple to complete, however it is time consuming and unnecessary. NuCard is a useful tool for coaches to collect attendance data and keep track of students. Whenever a student walks into NuVu, they tap their ID card on a small wooden box. Once they do that, their attendance is updated and a green light is portrayed next to their name indicating that they have entered the space. Each student’s card is made of museum board, which provides a rigid body while being lightweight. On each ID is a name, a date of birth and a graduation year. NuCard promotes student responsibility by creating an environment where the student is responsible for recording their own attendance.

• Refine card design
• The card keeps updating scan as long as the card is touching, make it scan once.
• Have the display show both entrance and exit times
• Create a way to call in sick
• Explore potential to create an app
