PNEUMATIC PUSH

Oscar Coes and Jacob Harris

The Pneumatic Push is an assistive device that helps to lean Lee forward. It functions by 6 silicone bellows attached to a wooden panel that inflate.

The device is a way for Lee to lean forward when he’s uncomfortable due to painful spasms, a symptom of his cerebral palsy. When Lee expressed certain tasks he wanted to be able to do, he mentioned being able to lean forward. The idea of making something that could help Lee do an everyday thing to help relieve a not so everyday problem seemed like a really good way to try and help make that aspect of his life easier.
