The joy the holiday season brings is made apparent by neon lights, Christmas trees, and even giant inflatable characters. People go to extreme lengths in some cases to decorate their houses and lawns in an effort to create an atmosphere as festive as possible. Suburban houses are often the most impressively lit and decorated, mostly due to the advantage in area they have over the apartments and lofts in the city. Driving though suburban neighbor hoods, the holiday spirit is apparent through the gleaming lights carefully lined on the gutters and figures of Santa and his reindeer on the lawns. These photos are a reflection of the effort put into these decorations and the expression they display.
