A piece of jewelry that helps you feel emotionally attached to someone or something when they can't physically be with you.

Sometimes a person may feel sad or unhappy when a loved one or beloved item isn't near. For example, a parent could take a business trip or you may not be able to carry around the blanket that you got when you were 4. What do you do to make yourself feel close to someone or something while they aren't with you at certain times? Emotional protective jewelry can help you feel like you're with your loved one or beloved item with only fabrics and 3d printed designs.

This product is extremely personal because I know how it feels to miss someone. Whenever my mother would go away on business trips, I would always wear her leather bracelets and whenever I see leather I think of her. I wanted to create a customized piece of jewelry thats a sense of emotional protection for me when she's absent from my every day life. The "Emotoring" does just that. It looks like a normal, geomtric, 3d printed ring but  the meaning runs deeper. There are two designs; the top piece, that's 3d printed, looks as though it's a normal ring with either a beautiful tree pattern or a face that can have jewels snapped into it. The straps that hold the ring to the users finger is whatever scraps of emotionally important fabric means the most to the user. The reason the fabric is wrapped instead of a sleeve is to give the affect of a helix, which is the continuously curving shape that represents life. The user is wearing a beautiful piece of jewelry but unbeknowignst to an outside viewer, the user is wearing a personal, calming memory on their finger. It's the best way to look good but also feel protected.
