Prototype 01
Drill bit needs funnel to direct pellets.
Needs a way to spool filament.
Prototype 02
Funnel needs to be one piece to prevent leakage.
Need a cooling system.
Needs a new shaft coupler
The adapter is press fit, so it can come off and start leaking.
Attach motor to power supply instead of batteries.
Prototype 03
Power Switch
Power Supply for hot end and mainboard.
Main Board
Stepper motor driver for spooler.
Motor that spins drill bit.
Touch screen to control hot end.
Power supply for stepper motor & driver.
Fan attached to duct

Blender actually seems to work really well!
The process of making new filament
Person realizes they have a lot of plastic waste.
Plastic is ground.
Funnel is loaded up with ground filament
Filament starts to get extruded.
Filament starts to get spooled.
Person gets a usable roll of filament.

Next, we want to focus on replacing all of the parts of the project with more widely available components.
We want to change and test some key variables on the filament recycler such as the temperature, the flow rate, heat chamber size, etc...
We wish to make a Git Hub repository and links to all of the CAD files and instructions to make the recycler easier to build and open source.
We want to develop a kit and get user feed back as well as continue testing and make changes.
