The video about the Waypoint adventures really showed how impactful the adventures can be for the students. They all looked really happy and the whole experience made me smile. It's amazing to see them do things I would never expect them to be able to do and it defies stereotypes about people with disabilities.
E.B.'s story showed how independent the students like to be. Indeed, she wanted to do the hiking by pushing the wheelchair on her own instead of having her team do it. But Sara's story also reminded of how the team is also very close to the students and help them and it creates a nice bond which the students love. Overall, it was heartwarming to see how grateful they are for the program and only betters my understanding of Waypoint.
