Cancer is a group of disease caused when the bodies cells grow and divide out of control and travels through blood spreading into healthy tissues and damaging it. Cancer sees no age affecting anyone and everyone. Around four months after her birthday at only five years old  my best friend Jamy passed from cancer. She was beautiful, amazing, and fun she was a princess that loved dressing up and having tea parties. When Jamy passed her mother gave me her favorite tea set because I was her only friend and she thought I should have it. My goal is to re-create the tea set given to me life size as well as adding more personal aspects of our friendship.

؜Upcycling + Style

Arianna & Meliah

As a group, we're demonstrating upcycling and how it serves as a solution to environmental damage and struggles regarding personal style. Through the rise of fast fashion, yearly, 100 million tons of clothes are placed into landfills, causing unnecessary pollution. And with the process of upcycling, we will highlight how it provides a sustainable solution by transforming old clothes and fabrics into new, valuable items.

؜My Dyslexic Experience

By Scarlet LaBranche

I have experienced assumptions because of my dyslexia. People assume it is a "one size fits all" situation, when in reality it is heavily individual. My goal with my project is to help people see and understand how different someone with dyslexia's experience can be from the person sitting next to them, and to learn to see it with empathy. Assumption is dangerous because it generalizes and belittles individuals. One in five kids in the US alone has dyslexia. We must allow them to tell us their stories before we assume. My project helps give them a voice. My project is a series of personal stories about people — including myself —who have dyslexia. The goal of this project is to show the range of experiences people have and to help people see just how different they are. By making these personal stories, I am allowing my community to keep its voice while using me as a way of reaching a broader audience. These projects will be posted on NuVu News as well as on the Carroll School's, a school for dyslexic students, social media.

Midreview post - nate

The only conclusive feedback from the papers was problem that the why isn't compelling to the people who also checked it needs more clarification. This means that only artist get it which makes sense. I think this is a flaw in the midreview feedback sheet having this organize of tick boxes having  one seem like the oppositte of the other because of design hierarchy of list such as order and overall sectioning.
