Why?
A flywheel can store energy very efficiently, so it could be used to extend power in regions where power is off for long periods of time. Many power plants use large flywheels, but we want ours to be smaller, and easy to assemble.
How it works
The amount of kenetic energy stored in a flywheel is stated as
where m is the mass of the flywheel and s is the speed.
