Thesis Statement

This project is centered around recreating 2D images of clouds into 3D structures.

It's important because it allows users to practice abstracting with little to no information or instruction.

The plan of this project was to transform 2D images into 3D using Rhino

then exploring with different materials such as paper, foil and foam to build in real life.

Something I had learned after this project is that I wish I created a stronger plan by planning out every step I'm going to do, then identifying mistakes with that plan along with getting feedback from other people.

Cloud image:

To me this cloud really looked like something I could make into a building.

Nimbus Cloud (DBZ):

John M. had suggested that I draw onto the cloud basing it off of Dragon Ball Z's Nimbus cloud.

Bubble Buildings:

In class we had seen images of bubble buildings, later on someone had suggested that I use this a precedent for my project.

Thesis Statement

This project is a collage of photos and songs that combines my personal connection to different artists' music with the vast scenery of Cambridge that connects to me. This project is important because it allows me to express myself in a way that communicates my character more fully than other methods could. How I did this was by exploring different parts of cambridge trying to find and capture photos That I felt a connection to my character in some shape or form. After taking those photos I listened to and picked different songs that I felt matched the tone of the photos. The spotify scan codes, which are codes from Spotify which give access to a song through scan codes, are one of the distinctive features of this project. The user can, can scan the code under a song and listen to it for themselves. Then, some important information is how each picture was edited to improve it by adding more texture and detail.Also, every picture was captured using an optical zoom lens to capture the entire structure of each image, with some shots being taken at a very Large zoom, and some with smaller zoom.

Thesis Statement

A lot of people live in apartments and like gardening, but do not have enough room for a garden.

Growing your own food or herbs is a good way to save money, to some people it is also a quite enjoyable hobby, and it also just looks good as a decoration.

With the hydroponic planter and moss terrarium it will not take up much space, will save you money, and it will look good as a decoration.

The planter is made of mirrored acrylic, white acrylic, and wood, while the terrarium is only made of mirrored acrylic and clear acrylic. The planter has holes in weird-ish way to make it stronger and easier to put the plants in different groups. The whole thing is held together with notches and superglue.

This project aims to explore the line between art and reality by incorporating hand drawn sketches into real photographs. The idea behind this project came from my desire to practice taking photos, drawing, and adding emotions into my images using editing. This is important because the skills I learned during this project will help me in future projects. To improve at each of these skills, I took photos of Cambridge and edited sketches I made into the images to convey certain moods.
