Thesis Statement

This project aims to explore the line between art and reality by incorporating hand drawn sketches into real photographs. The idea behind this project came from my desire to practice taking photos, drawing, and adding emotions into my images using editing. This is important because the skills I learned during this project will help me in future projects. To improve at each of these skills, I took photos of Cambridge and edited sketches I made into the images to convey certain moods.

Technical Diagram

Step 1: I think about my mood and decide how I want my images to look.

Step 2: I go out into Cambridge and take pictures based on the look I'm going for.

Step 3: I edit the photo how I want to capture a certain mood.

Step 5: I scan the sketch and edit it into the photo, making any final edits I want.

Step 4: I make a sketch of what I want to add into the photo.
