Still life:
This still life drawing was an exercise for me to better understand compositions, proportions, values, and line work. I started by setting up the still life and designing the composition. I made the composition more interesting and diverse by including objects of different sizes, values, and textures. I experimented with looser and messier lines to step out of my comfort zone.
Figure drawings:
The amazing figure model and Barkley L. Hendricks inspired these figure drawing. I started with an underdrawing to accurately capture the proportions and motion of the model. After that, I used different colored pencils to do a more refined and finish drawing on top of the guidelines I made. The little blue button inspired me to paint Blood (Donald Formey) by Barkley L. Hendricks. He played with colors and included one little dot of blue among the massive amount of red. I used a different color when drawing the jewellery the model was wearing to create that creative and playful effect.

Drawing and Sketching
During this studio, I learned how to work with different mediums and materials. We had some great opportunities to draw real and profession figure models. I was highly inspired by one of the figure model and created some drawing that are more refined and creative. I mainly worked on strength my foundational skills by doing more life drawings and exercises. I hope to experiment more in the future and create some more finished and creative pieces.
