Growth Paragraph

For this first session, I mainly wanted to get a sense of what and how I can complete the different elements I need to incorporate into my college applications. I feel like I was able to complete and discuss next steps clearly with coaches and admissions counselors to give me a better feel of what I need for my portfolio and essay. For working on and writing my essay, I think it was beneficial for me to make my own deadlines/ work at my own pace, so that I would be able to put in that reflection and thought throughout it while also trying to convey my thoughts. During the middle of the studio, I wanted to create a schedule for my different portfolio (and other) requirements, but didn't happen until the end of the studio. However, I now have an agenda to follow until the early action/decisions are due. For the last week, I had thought out of next steps for building my portfolio more, but ended up working on my activities list and student spotlight instead. I feel like overall there were ups and downs with my process, but I think I was able to have a better mindset with moving forward with the application process and requirements for the Common App.
