Tonight I designed a new pinhole based on the settings I decided on yesterday using Mr.Pinhole. I'll laser cut it tomorrow and hope it works.
Didn't put it together, I'll do that tomorrow.
I'll test it out over the weekend.
These are my measurements I've decided to go with for now. The 0.75mm in diameter is the diameter of a sewing needle that I have so that makes the most sense for me to use. These are subject to change as 15.3 degrees of view is less than ideal.
Prepared pinhole camera MK1, using a 143.27 mm focal point, 163 mm film diameter, and a 0.3 mm pinhole. This ended up with a view angle of 60.3 degrees. The pinhole camera also had a clamp system to allow the transfer of varying pinhole diameters.
I fabricated pinhole camera MK1 and used photosensitive paper to experiment with the exposure of camera. It was a cloudy day so images were not produced.
I developed pinhole camera MK2 and verified that the camera film was exposable by using control samples.
Day 4 I cut and assembled pinhole camera MK2, it was cloudy so the UV index was too low, A hole was cut in the side and a camera was inserted into the hole allowing for the viewing of light sources through the camera. It was also made evident that some sort of fabric is needed to help with light bleed
I made some small edits to the file this weekend, which included a hole to test different lenses with, as well as a more effective way to secure each lens on the camera. I also learned that there is significant light bleed in my current camera, which is something I need to fix in the next iteration.
Today I further tested my camera, this time using my phone to see if light passes through a new tinfoil lense I had created. Surprisingly, the camera worked despite the oversize hole I had made in the foil. I could see the inverse image of the window I pointed the camera at. Im pretty sure that this means that the camera itself works, so all I need to do now is to take a picture with actual film...
