The ARM with its meticulous motion will make building and creating by hand even more precise. This is a combination of a glove that transfers the motion of a hand into the motion of the robotic arm that will carry this motion out in a smaller, more powerful way. Creating a unique opportunity for people with arthritis and other diseases that would make them less and less able to do daily tasks easily.

The ARM comes in two parts: a glove that fits on the user's hand that communicates its motions to a smaller more compact robotic arm. The sensors connected to the user's hand and joints send signals through an Arduino to be mapped as angles that control the actuation of the servos inside the ARM. Currently there are 4 sensors along the fingers and 2 sensors located at the elbow and the shoulder. This technology would open up new doors for how we would interact in the world and create so many more ways to help people who would otherwise be almost immobile. Two hands would be more helpful but it would limit the flexibility of movement and create a stationary object set up on a workbench type setup.

Easy Arm:  a robotic arm with intuitive and easy controls through mapping the motions of your own arm. This arm is built on a smaller scale than a human one, so as to have more precision and be more delicate.

A big problem that the older generations have with new technology is how confusing it is to use. It might be intuitive for the younger people because they have been using it for their whole lives so they are thus going into every new thing with a basic knowledge of how everything should work.  It’s likely older people don’t have this base knowledge and every year tech just gets more and more complicated so it's even harder to catch up. That's why the Easy Arm is controlled by your own motions so literally anyone will be able to pick it up and use it immediately.

Easy Arm will be made up of two components: the robotic arm and the controller arm. The control arm will have a glove with flex sensors so it knows how closed your fingers are also potentiometers would be attached to your elbow and shoulder to sense their motions. The robotic fingers will have a string running through them that will be pulled by a servo to close them and the elbow and shoulder will have bigger servos to give a larger range of motion.
