The Kinetic Creatures Project will lead you through a series of exercises of increasing complexity in which you will learn technical skills and the iterative process of design. You will move from an idea and a sketch through various modes of prototyping, from hand modeling to computer controlled electronics controlling 3-D printed parts.  In doing so, you will learn how to establish a clear design intent and integrate additional design elements  throughout the iterative process.

At each stage there will be:

•  Preparatory tutorials on each skill  for home study
• Introduction to the Challenge, its design goals, and examples
• An  in-class tutorial developing the Nu-Vu giraffe and employing the skills
• Work time to advance your own project
