The three advertisements that I choose are for FedEx, Pepsi, and keeping sewage out of the rivers. I was drawn to these ads because they really grab the attention of the viewer and make you want to show someone else. I believe that the FedEx ad is poking fun at UPS by saying one of their trucks does the same amount of work as two of their competitors. I believe the creative genius used in the campaign is calling out competing companies in a shocking and creative way that still draws viewers attention. I think that it does serve it's purpose because it is functional and is seen by everyone.

The Pepsi ad has a similar theme in changing the outside of a truck to look like something else, but it simply wants people to look at the truck and show others. I think that this has more of an aha moment in showing all the crates on the ceiling, being an unexpected thing to see driving down the road. I think that by being creative art it was successful in drawing attention, which was the intended purpose.

The sewage pipe in portraying a completely different message. It is not selling a product, but an idea to keep rivers clean. It appeals to a wide audience by showing the waterslide. No parent wants their child swimming in gross water and everyone love waterslides. It makes a formal ad more relatable to everyone. This also seems like more of a creative genius moment in turning a sewage pipe into art.
