Lydia Fu is a Chicago based freelance artist focusing on illustration and animation. Her journey to the creative field started at the University of Chicago where she earned her BS in Chemistry and helped publish a paper in Nature on the development pathways of drosophila using microfluidics. She then ventured to Vancouver, BC Canada where she earned her BMA in Animation. Her practice explores issues of identity and culture and engages projects that involve interdisciplinary methods, mixed and multimedia. Her artwork and films have been exhibited and screened internationally. She also has a fluffy cat named BaoBao.
