NuVu’s Summer Program explores all aspects of superheroes, from technology to fashion. Students investigate topics of personal interest through an iterative process of critical problem solving and create their own projects to fulfill discovered needs. Intertwined throughout the studios, students learn concepts of math, science, computer programming, robotics, digital arts, writing, music and film. Each two-week studio culminates in a student-staffed exhibition of their projects, thereby encouraging their communication and public presentation skills. Some studios conclude with a head-to-head challenge of their newly designed robots. The studios are inspired by cutting-edge research and inventions from MIT as well as the vibrant technology and design industries. Our aim is to inspire each student to develop social, problem solving, and technical skills. Students explore and invent in collaborative teams under the guidance of our coaches, who are professional experts and academics at MIT and Harvard.
